Currency

JMD (Jamaican Dollars) You should carry USD (US Dollars), as they are commonly used on the island. Also, it's an excellent value for your money if you decide to convert some of it into local currency.

Voltage in Jamaica

Jamaica's voltage is 110V. However, we suggest carrying an adaptor with voltage conversion for devices using motors, or three-prong plugs as most Canadian and American electronics have 120V, which is compatible with 110V nut just to be on the safe side. An excellent suggestion for a surge protector.
